Landscape/Gardening Programs

Green Garden Program provides a professional outdoor water survey for residents to assess where they can conserve in their outdoor water use. If they qualify, residents can then attend a 'smart' irrigation controller workshop, receive a FREE controller, and reduce runoff outside their home.

Ocean Friendly Garden is in partnership with the Surfrider Foundation, providing FREE native, ocean-friendly landscaping workshops and available rebates for the 'smart' sprinkler controller.

California Friendly Landscape Classes are in partnership with Metropolitan Water District and offer educational workshops about water-efficient plants and landscaping techniques. West Basin will be hosting two California Friendly workshops in 2008.

Large Landscape Program provides interested homeowner's associations (HOA's) with FREE landscape surveys for landscape areas larger than 2 acres. A professionally-trained surveyor will evaluate the landscape and irrigation system, analyze water usage, identify leaks, provide equipment incentives, and make recommendations to the customer through a final site survey report. This program is in partnership with Metropolitan Water District.
